Krishan Lal

Krishan Lal has around 40 years of experience in employment & labour laws, corporate & commercial laws, banking & financial laws and corporate governance. He has served for more than 20 years in senior posts in legal departments of prestigious undertakings like IFCI, NTPC, and BHEL; & was also as Legal Head in Thapar & Escort Group of companies. In the past, he was also a corporate practice head of a leading law firm for more than a decade.

He is an expert in employment & labour and has advised multinationals, Indian group companies on all spectrum of employment related issues ranging from appointment, policy level, confidentiality/NDA agreements, structuring of benefits & stock options schemes, strategy and documentation on downsizing, retrenchment/ layoff and severance issues.

He has extensive experience in corporate & commercial laws, drafting and negotiation of critical contracts, bids, and tenders. In the past, he has advised on more than 40 high value transactions for leading MNCs and Indian conglomerates of around $ 600 million in areas of private equity, M&A, JV, disinvestments and strategic buy out/ sale of business in aviation, automobile, media, heavy engineering, manufacturing, retail, marketing, information technology, outsourcing banking, insurance, real estate and hospitality sectors. He is Guest lecturer / speaker on complex Employment & Company law issues at Institute of Company Secretary and premier law colleges.
